Help Identify Transportation Needs - Missouri Long Range Transportation Planning
We have developed an easy-to-use survey to help us compile a working list of regional transportation needs. Together, SCOCOG and the citizens of the South Central Region will identify and prioritize needs and solutions that champion a safe and reliable transportation system that ensures economic prosperity. This input will help MoDOT Planners and Engineers develop a new long-term plan for Missouri's Transportation System.
Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC)
The Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) is a special sub-group of SCOCOG comprised of county commissioners and appointed individuals whose primary responsibilities are to advocate for the region on transportation issues and to prioritize regional priorities from concerns identified by the general public. These priorities are then used by SCOCOG staff to assist the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) in developing the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) each year. In addition to establishing local priorities, the TAC also discusses issues such as roadway safety and available grant opportunities. The TAC meets on a quarterly basis and are open to the general public.
It is important to note that SCOCOG staff and TAC members rely heavily on the general public to inform us of concerns that you feel need to be addressed. We are always willing to listen and present identified concerns to the TAC and MoDOT. You can contact our Transportation Planner by calling (417) 256-4226 and asking for the transportation planner or by email here.
